California Grilled Cheese

California Grilled Cheese

You might be wondering what California has to do with not buttery grilled cheese. But rest assured, we can explain. From what we understand, California basically means “cool.” For example: “Hey do you want to hang out later?” “Yeah, sounds California.” See? It’s as easy as grilled cheese.

Instructions

  1. Arrange 2 slices cheese, 2 slices turkey, half of avocado, 2 slices tomato on one bread slice. Place another bread slice on top and press firmly. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  2. Spray outsides of sandwiches with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter! Spray. Preheat grill pan or panini press. Add sandwiches and cook, covered, 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted, turning once.
For all you breadheads out there, we recommend using sourdough or ciabatta for your California grilled cheese. These types of bread will soak up all the buttery deliciousness of your I Can't Believe It's Not Butter while keeping the outside crispy. Dibs on Breadheads™ as a band name, btw.
